Constructed in the second half of the XVI century, this palace has an elegant facade which
faces Michelangelo's staircase leading to Piazza del Campidoglio. The palace was built for the Albertoni family
and the original structure had two floors and an elegant cornice. The real jewel of this building however is the
stuccoed loggia, rich with frescoes and gilding. The vast apartments were worked on by pupils of the Zuccari brothers,
Ventura Salimbeni and Gaspard Duget. The frescoes by Federico and Taddeo Zuccari respect the dictates of the mannerist painting. Count Pecci Blunt has restored the ground floor gallery using the same antique marbles from the famous Medici firm that had been used when the piano nobile had previously been restored. Now Palazzo Pecci Blunt is an ideal environment for events with up to a maximum of 300 people. |
